Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and place the cupcake molds on a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, and then the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture.
  6. Fill the cupcake molds 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool and top with buttercream.
